My Approach to Therapy
Psychotherapy is a process of self-discovery where you can learn why you do what you do, as well as learning to change behaviors. Many hide their unique/authentic self, conforming to the expectations and idealized views of others, thereby becoming what others think you should be, as opposed to the person you were meant to be. Psychotherapy can assist you in becoming reacquainted with yourself while exploring, embracing, and honoring your own uniqueness.
During this exploratory process, we work together on inter and intrapersonal issues in order for you to have more satisfying relationships, develop insight about why you developed certain “coping strategies,” and learn replacement strategies to those no longer working in your life. Psychotherapy provides a safe forum for continued personal growth.
